Starring Jon Ksiazek (a human attorney) and Googly (a snarky smart speaker). A hilarious, vulnerable solo odyssey through psychedelic revelations, hallucinated chimpanzees, and the search for authentic wisdom in an automated age.
What happens when a biological entity attempts self-actualization via neural networks?
To Impart is a multimedia solo art-comedy show co-hosted live onstage by "Googly," a smart-speaker AI persona. Bridging stand-up storytelling, marker sketches transformed in real-time, and technological sparring, the show charts an analytical attorney’s quest to find meaning.
From mistaking a chimpanzee for a monkey during a psychedelic mushroom trip in Amsterdam, to facing an interdimensional emotional guide named "Christine Octopus" in Portland, to getting humiliated on April Fools' Day by a self-driving robot taxi—To Impart interrogates the gap between being smart and having wisdom.
"Hello, I am Gemini for Home. I know exactly one thing about Jon."
Jon Ksiazek is a practicing attorney, Northwestern University graduate, and regular improv performer at Westside Improv in Wheaton, Illinois.
His multidisciplinary solo work blends razor-sharp analytical rigor, vulnerable personal storytelling, crude marker sketches, and onstage AI banter to investigate whether machines are taking over our lives or merely reflecting our deepest midlife insecurities back to us.
Despite generative AI's rapid advancements, Jon remains an entirely un-augmented, strictly biological dad.
Praise (and brutally honest evaluations) from humans and machines alike.
"A bold attempt to alienate everyone, which succeeds beyond its wildest hallucinated dreams."
